Sabena adds value on Brussels operations

BELGIANairline Sabena has launched a range of initiatives designed to increase its share of the business travel market.

It has improved business-class seating on its Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted to Brussels routes – increasing seat pitch on its Boeing-737s from 29in to 32in. It has also increased capacity on selected peak business travel flights.

General manager UK and Ireland Marc Nelis said:”Increasing capacity will make it easier for passengers using the Brussels hub for onward flight connections to points such as Johannesburg where demand is high.”

n Sabena has added a fifth daily service on its Manchester to Brussels route which operates Mondays to Saturdays.

The new Boeing 737 flights leave Manchester at 8.25am arriving in Brussels at 10.40am local time. From Brussels, flights depart at 7.25am and arrive in Manchester at 7.45am local time, making it the first flight of the day from Brussels to Manchester.

To launch the new services, the carrier is offering a special companion fare of ú555 return for two people in business class and ú155 return for two in economy, excluding taxes.

Passengers taking these fares must travel together, going out on the new 8.25am Manchester flight but returning on any Sabena flight.

Tickets have to be purchased by the end of this month for travel by March 31, and economy passengers much stay at least one Sunday night and no more than 14 days.
