Is an unfair Advantage creating room for new divisions?

I agree with most of your Comment (Travel Weekly December 2 1998)regarding the outcome of the franchised Advantage scheme vote, with the exception of the last sentence recommending that non-participating members should join another consortium. When there is likely to be so many of us, why should we?

I have heard Ron Muir speak at two meetings of members, one of which was the annual conference. On both occasions he expressed very strong views about a number of members he wished were not members of the organisation. Well, he will now have what he wanted. Can I suggest the non-franchised members might not want him now – I submit that the existing management cannot serve both the members of the franchised operation and the non-franchised without possible conflicts of interest.

Shouldn’t the non-franchised members appoint a new executive team and be allowed to continue?
