AVRO has launched its millennium flight programme, claiming it is the first flight-only firm to do so.
Fares for the winter 1999/2000 programme lead in at ú89 return for Gatwick-Alicante and ú99 return for Manchester-Malaga.
Other prices start at ú279 return for Luton-Tenerife departing on December 28 for seven nights; while Gatwick-Malaga is ú275 return; and Manchester-Malaga is ú285 return.
The programme features 12 destinations from 10 UK airports. There are six additional flights next winter, four from Glasgow and two from East Midlands Airport.
Avro sister company Monarch Airlines operates 50% of the flights.
Managing director Roy Woodward said capacity for Avro’s winter 1999/2000 programme was slightly down on this winter due to uncertainty from customers about flying over the millennium.
