NCL president quits position


NORWEGIANCruise Line president and chief operating officer Hans Golteus has resigned in order to take a job outside the travel industry.



Golteus, who has been in his current post since July 1996, is joining Swedish telecommunications company Telia as head of international business.



He will be replaced on January 4 by Geir Aune, who will also keep his present title of chief executive officer.



Meanwhile, the company has created two new vice-president positions.



Brian Stevenson, who is vice-chairman of NCL-owned Orient Lines, will become executive vice-president of corporate development. David Gubbay is to join the company from banking, investment and insurance group Fortis, to become executive vice-president of corporate projects.
