CARLSON Worldchoice Travel in Dunoon made the headlines when it caused a full-scale alert in the Strathclyde town.
Emergency services rushed to the town centre after a call was made reporting a fire in one of the local businesses. But it turned out the alarm had gone off because of nothing more than a burnt piece of toast in the agency’s tea room.
The incident tickled the fancy of neighbouring agency Cowal Travel Centre, who thought it was only fair Backchat was told.
