Eurolines expandscut-price fare offers
Eurolines has expanded its discounted fares offers for 2000/2001 following the success of its first cut-price deals programme last year. There are 71 new discounted destinations this year, including Lourdes, Nice, Perpignan, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Burgos and Madrid. Competition from no-frills airlines prompted Eurolines to introduce Red Hot Fares last year.
Paris and Amsterdam Red Hot Fares start from £33 return which is inclusive of return coach travel to and from London, ferry or Eurotunnel crossings and all road tolls and travel taxes. The only restriction is that they must be booked at least 14 days in advance of travel.
Vienna, Budapest and Barcelona fares lead in at £79 until July.
Meanwhile, the coach operator has stepped up its Italy services following a 20% increase in passenger numbers last year.
There will be daily departures to Milan over the summer and a Rimini and Cattolica service has been added during the summer peak. Services to Paris and Amsterdam have been increased to five each day after showing a 3% increase and Ausburg, Ulm and Karlsruhe have been added to the London to Munich service.
A new Germany Express service travelling direct to Cologne, Frankfurt and Stuttgart has been added with fewer stops en route.
