ACTE unveils conference topics

SUCCESSFUL negotiations, global hotel deals and dealing direct with airlines are the three key topics lined up for debate at the Association of Corporate Travel Executives travel management forum at Heathrow on Thursday.

Speakers for the two morning sessions, which will feature tips on how to negotiate successful deals with travel suppliers, and specifically with hotel groups, include Seagram and Sons director global travel management Tom Stone; Walt Disney Company’s director corporate travel international Vic Van Den Brandeler; and Sofitel corporate sales manager Cris Crowley.

Speakers for the afternoon debate, on the growing trend to sell direct and e-ticketing among airlines and the future of travel agents, include British Airways head of sales UK and Ireland Tiffany Hall; United Airlines national sales manager UK and Ireland Jim Hartnett; and Rosenbluth International vice-president Europe, Middle East and Africa Pieter Rieder.

The seminar, at the Sheraton Hotel, Heathrow, costs about £105 for ACTE members, or £148 for non-members.
