n ABTC reports static business travel figuresWorldwide business travel figures remained static last year, according to the latest business traveller survey conducted by Advantage Business Travel Centres. The biggest increases in business travel were to India and Kuwait, which grew 49% and 48%, while bookings to Finland were up 18%. Bookings to Hong Kong fell 21%.
n intercontinental upgrades churchill
Two new ClubInter-Continental floors have opened at the five-star Churchill Inter-Continental Hotel on London’s Portman Square. The Club floors have 66 rooms and 18 suites and offer facilities including a private reception and lounge serving breakfast and light meals throughout the day.
n ramada adds encore mid-price hotel brand
Ramada International has introduced a mid-price accommodation brand, Ramada Encore, aimed at young-at-heart business travellers. The first two brand hotels are in South Korea and Belfast. Rates will range from £38-£48 a night.
