We just can’t agree with the waves you’ve made over Fred Olsen cruises
Sorry, Ms Nicola Holmes (Travel Norwich Airport), but I just cannot take on board your comments about Fred Olsen Cruise Lines (Travel Weekly, April 17).I also had passengers on the Millennium Cruise and all of them had a brilliant time. Incidentally, did you actually have any passengers on board? You don’t say.
My company has dealt with Fred Olsen for a number of years and books hundreds of passengers on their cruises every year, many taking two or even three holidays with them in one year.
Seldom do we have complaints and the few we have had have been dealt with both quickly and fairly, which has then encouraged them to book ‘Freds’ again.
I do agree, however, that Fred Olsen has had problems on the Black Watch, as many other shipping companies do from time to time. These problems have now been resolved and everything is back to normal on the ship. It’s a pity that Watchdog doesn’t publicise the good news as well as exaggerating the bad – but then, they are only trying to up their ratings.
We are an independent travel agent in a small market town. Our reputation over 31 years has been built up through hard work and expertise. We are, I believe, the best in town. We would hardly risk our own reputation selling Fred Olsen cruises if we were not 100% confident in the product.
We recommend them most highly, for comfort, service, cuisine, and value for money.
Reservations and agency sales are second to none for helpfulness and support.
As far as we are concerned, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines are simply the best.
