Tours by air introduced
TOURS by air have replaced Cosmos’ winter coach touring options in the US and Canada.The move follows demand for shorter trips and for more independent travel.
But general manager Graham Mumford said the tours will still be escorted.
“Our market research tells us there is an increase in the more independent type of customer but who still wants an escorted experience,” he said.
The brochure contains around 60% of the programme’s capacity. New tours for winter include the 12 day San Francisco, Las Vegas and Los Angeles tour with add-ons available in Hawaii or Palm Springs. Capacity in southern US and Trans-Canadian Railway have also been increased.
For 2001, prices have been held at this year’s levels.
