Educationals: pledges support for operators planning their own educationals; Travelscene took 25 agents on a fam trip to Hungary last year. Working with the Central European Countries Travel Association, the tourist office is planning a cross-border educational this summer taking in other member countries – Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany and Poland.
Exhibitions: the Hungarian National Tourist Office is involved in a dozen trade and consumer shows in Britain and Ireland this year – they include Manchester, Dublin, Glasgow and Bournemouth – and will be involved in two ANTOR workshops to be staged in the North and South of England on dates to be arranged. The tourist office will have a 208sq metre stand at World Travel Market in November, where food and wine will be the core promotion. In Budapest, the ninth Hungary Welcomes Britain Workshop takes place from April 15-18 and increased participation is expected this year from the UK trade.
