Continental extends chauffeur deal

CONTINENTAL Airlines has extended its chauffeur-drive service for business travellers to the whole of mainland Britain and Northern Ireland.

The airline previously only offered the chauffeur service within a 50-mile radiusof its main UK departure airports.

Passengers who are holding full-fare J class tickets for Continental’s BusinessFirst will be picked up from anywhere in Britain and Northern Ireland and driven to their nearest gateway or regional airport, which is determined by their post code.

When passengers have reached their US destination, the same service will take them up to 40 miles from the airport to their final destination in 140 cities.

The carrier claims its chauffeur-drive service covers a wider area than any other airline offering a similar facility.

Continental Airlines senior director UK and Ireland Mike Carter said: “We believe the extension will make travelling to the US even easier for business travellers and this is the latest in a series of enhancements to provide a flexible, tailored, and individual service.”
