Aer Lingus has launched its “biggest ever” summer 2023 schedule, with 2.25 million seats on sale from the UK and Ireland to North America.
The Irish carrier said it has increased capacity in response to customer demand for more transatlantic flights.
The airline has switched from using a single-aisle Airbus A321LR to a wide-bodied A330, which will boost capacity from Manchester to New York by 72%.

In summer 2023 Aer Lingus will operate 17 routes to the UK, and will launch new flights from Dublin to Cleveland in Ohio.
Customers can either fly directly from Manchester to New York or Orlando, or fly to a wider variety of destinations by going from a UK airport via the carrier’s Dublin hub.
Aer Lingus operates at 13 UK airports including Heathrow, Gatwick, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol and Leeds Bradford.
Chief customer officer Susanne Carberry said: “After a highly successful year flying customers to and from the UK over the Atlantic, we’re excited to be launching our largest ever summer schedule for customers in 2023.
“This will give our customers even greater choice and flexibility when booking their summer holidays for 2023 and make Aer Lingus first choice for flying to North America.”
