A new online travel hub designed to help customers navigate their way back to the slopes has been introduced by Crystal Ski Holidays.
The ‘travel with confidence’ section of the Tui-owned operator’s website has been developed against a backdrop of differing Covid travel restrictions in most of Europe compared to the UK.
The resource covers everything from proving Covid status to enter public spaces like bars and restaurants to wearing a face mask and social distancing.
Users will be able to find out what they need to do in advance of travel, what they can expect on their journey, in their hotels and resorts and on the mountains.
Crystal’s new travel hub also provides details of how to buy testing packages starting at £15 per person with government-approved providers Chronomics, as well as other options.
The hub, which will be regularly updated, explains that restrictions across Europe are generally much tighter than in the UK.
The operator, which runs its first flights to European ski destinations on December 12, said: “Restrictions vary from destination to destination so it’s vital that anyone travelling this winter is clear about the local guidelines in place for the resort they are visiting and has everything in place to adhere to them.”
Managing director Chris Logan added: “Travelling is a bit different now and there are some things our customers need to think about that they wouldn’t usually have to.
“We want to make it as easy as possible and will make sure they are equipped with all the information they need.
“Our new comprehensive travel hub will be constantly updated, and customers will get detailed emails with information specific to their destination.
‘We’ll also use our app to let them know about any testing requirements in resorts and how and where to get tested.
“The way we travel now may be different but with the right information and some pre-planning it doesn’t have to be terribly difficult. And whilst many things have changed, the essential exhilaration of a ski holiday remains as thrilling as ever.”
