EasyJet starts Glasgow-Newquay summer ‘staycation’ service

EasyJet has started flying between Glasgow and Newquay in Cornwall for the first time.

Flights are running twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout the summer peak.

Fares for the 90-minute journey start at £22.99 one-way.

The budget airline’s UK country manager Ali Gayward said:“We are delighted to be celebrating the launch of our new service from Glasgow to Newquay for the first time, further strengthening our domestic UK network and providing more opportunity for our customers in Scotland to book a trip this summer.

“Our protection promise means that customers can book with confidence knowing that if they are unable to travel or if their plans change, so can their flights, and we are looking forward to reuniting friends and family or take customers on long-awaited holiday.

“We are proud to be the largest airline in Scotland and remain committed to offering customers great value fares and more choice when they fly with us.”

Glasgow airport operations director Ronald Leitch added: “EasyJet’s decision earlier this year to introduce what is a brand new destination for the airline has proved extremely popular with Scottish travellers looking to enjoy a staycation in one of England’s most popular coastal areas.”
