Eurowings adds third Manchester route ahead of Euros

Eurowings has started a third route from Manchester airport to Germany.

Flights to Stuttgart have been added ahead of the Euro 2024 football tournament which kicks off next month.

Stuttgart is being served four times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays using an Airbus A319.

The city is the third German destination served by the Lufthansa Group subsidiary in addition to Dusseldorf and Hamburg.

The Stuttgart Arena will host games during Euro 2024, including Scotland verses Hungary on June 23 and one of the quarter final matches.

Manchester airport commercial director Stephen Turner said: “We are proud to serve the people of the north with an ever-growing range of over 200 destinations built around what travellers from the region want.

“Germany is a hugely popular country with people from the north and with the Euros just around the corner that is only set to grow.

“Eurowings launching this new service is really exciting for us and our passengers.”
