Freebird Airlines is to launch a twice-weekly service from Gatwick to Bodrum, in Turkey.
The Turkish carrier’s flights will operate on a Tuesdays and Fridays from May 24.
Freebird is also doubling its frequency of services from Gatwick to Antalya to four flights a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Gatwick-Antalya route will resume on May 23.
The airline said the Gatwick routes will ‘complement’ its existing Antalya services from Manchester which will operate twice-weekly on a Wednesday and Saturday from April 30.
Carl Denton, head of UK sales, said: “Following our launch, during the restrictions of the pandemic, we are now very encouraged to see consumer confidence return and bookings pick up.
“We are pleased to have secured the necessary cleared slots at Gatwick to ensure we can meet this demand and grow back the capacity to Turkey.”
