The French ski gateways of Chambery, Lyon and Grenoble will be served by more than 50 flights a week in the peak season.

Airlines offering flights to winter sports destinations include British Airways, EasyJet, Norwegian, SkyAlps, Swiss and Tui Airways.

Gatwick aviation development vice president Stephanie Wear said“Every winter we welcome more than a million passengers jetting off with their skis and snowboards, so we know how popular these destinations are with our passengers.
