Hans Airways starts second round of cabin crew training

Fledgling UK long-haul carrier Hans Airways has started training a second group of cabin crew ahead of a planned start of flights to India.

Ground training is taking place on an Airbus A330 at Birmingham airport.

The first group of nine cabin crew completed their training in at the end of April.

The airline plans to offer a two class service between secondary cities in the UK and India, with 274 seats in economy and 24 in premium economy.

A launch date has yet to be confirmed but Hans Airways plans to have “a close working relationship” with travel agencies and travel management companies.

An application for a UK air operators certificate was submitted two years ago. Flights had originally been set to start in late 2021, with a revised start of this summer indicated in March.

Amritsar features as the lone destination in India on the airline’s website.

Head of cabin safety and service Neeru Prabhakar, who joined Hans Airways following 30 years at British Airways, has been active in helping the start-up carrier with crew training.
