Iceland’s Play recruits sales and marketing executive director

Low-cost Icelandic carrier Play airlines has recruited Adrian Keating as sales and marketing executive director.

He has more than 20 years of international aviation experience, having started his career at British Airways in 1999.

He has also worked with easyJet, Etihad, Air Transat and Malaysia Airlines. Most recently, Keating was sales, marketing and distribution vice-president at Norse Atlantic.

In his newly created role, he will lead sales, distribution, marketing, PR, in-flight, ancillary and cargo teams, with his time split between Iceland and the UK.

He said: “Joining Play as the airline celebrates welcoming its one-millionth passenger marks an exciting new chapter in my career.

“This role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead a talented team and I look forward to contributing to Play’s continued success and growth, and to helping shape the future of the airline industry through innovative and forward-thinking strategies.”

“With his exceptional and proven track record of delivering results, Adrian is the ideal candidate to join our team and to drive commercial success.”
