Industry leaders confirmed for first Travel Weekly People Summit

Hays Travel owner Dame Irene Hays, Jet2 human resources director Miriam D’Souli, Royal Caribbean vice-president EMEA Ben Bouldin and Travel Network Group chief executive Gary Lewis are among the industry leaders lined up to speak at Travel Weekly’s first People Summit in November.

The event is taking place at the offices of Grant Thornton in central London in partnership with Abta and the Future You Foundation on November 14 and will feature panels and presentation on the key topics of recruitment, retention, diversity and development in the travel industry.

Other confirmed speakers include USAirtours chief executive Guy Novik, C&M Recruitment managing director Barbara Kolosinska, Accord Marketing chief executive Sally Winfield and Travlaw partner Ami Naru.

Education and training experts also appearing include Dr Peter Robinson, head of the Centre for Tourism and Hospitality Management at Leeds Beckett University, Vicki Wolf, head of education and career development at Abta, and Claire Steiner, founder of the Future You Foundation.

The event will feature the official launch of Travel Weekly’s prospectus-style publication and website Take Off in Travel, supported by Abta and this year sponsored by Hays Travel.
