Jet2 celebrates graduation of 13 apprentices

Thirteen apprentices from Jet2.com and Jet2holidays celebrated their graduation from the brands’ apprenticeship scheme at a ceremony on Thursday (December 1).

Isaac Naylor, Georgia Cunningham, Matthew Thornton, Harry Whyte, Tom Frankland, Elliott Wilson, Nathan Dixon, Charlie Amos, Monica Neill, Oliver Athorn, Vincent Klimjack, Georgia Cave-Hawkes and Tomasz Krygowski marked their success at the Park Plaza in Leeds – the first graduation ceremony held by Jet2.com and Jet2holidays for their apprentices.

They worked in a range of departments, including marketing, IT, operations control and engineering.

All of them passed their apprenticeships first time and, since gaining their qualifications, have secured permanent positions with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.

Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, presented them with their certificates at the ceremony.

They were joined at the event by their friends and family, colleagues from across the businesses, and Miriam D’souli, HR director at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.

Heapy said: “We are delighted to see 13 of our apprentices graduate from our apprenticeship scheme and to be marking this important milestone.

“The graduation ceremony is the culmination of many years hard work and dedication, and the apprentices should be extremely proud of all they have achieved.”

He made a special mention of Isaac Naylor, for winning the Yorkshire and Humber National Apprenticeship Awards and being shortlisted as a finalist in the 2022 National Apprenticeship Awards in London.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are expanding their apprentice programme for 2023, with positions in customer service, HR, finance, marketing, IT, operations control, planning, ground operations, overseas, and product departments.
