Jet2.com’s inaugural Sardinia and Sicily services set to take off

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will start flying to Sardinia and Sicily for the first time on Sunday (May 1).

Sardinia flights from Manchester start from May 1 and from Stansted from May 15.

The Sicily services will operate from Stansted from May 1; Leeds Bradford from May 4; and Manchester, from May 7.

Manchester airport will offer weekly Sunday services to Olbia in Sardinia until October 16, increasing to up to two weekly services (Saturday and Sunday) from July 23-September 24.

Stansted’s service to Sardinia will be on Sundays until October 16.

The services to Catania airport in Sicily will be weekly from Leeds Bradford and Stansted, while Manchester will have two a week (Tuesday and Saturday).

Package holidays to Sicily with Jet2holidays offer beach resorts such as Taormina, Taormina Mare, Giardini Naxos, Syracuse, Cefalu and Campofelice Di Roccella.

Packages are also on sale through Jet2CityBreaks to the historic city of Catania.

Resorts on sale in Sardinia include Porto Cervo, Baia Sardinia, Budoni, San Teodoro, Cannigione, San Pantaleo, Orosei and Pittulongu, as well as city breaks to Olbia.

The launch of Sardinia and Sicily means the sister brands have seven Italian destinations on sale this summer (Sicily, Sardinia, Naples, Pisa, Rome, Venice and Verona).

Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “The addition of these stunning Italian islands to our summer ’22 programme has proven to be extremely popular with customers and independent travel agents looking for glorious sunshine alongside that authentic Italian experience.”

The launch of flights and holidays to the Italian island destinations are part of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’ expanded programme for summer 2022, with more capacity on offer than in summer 2019.
