Jet2holidays expands resort check-in service to Canaries

Jet2holidays will expand its free resort flight check-in service to the Canary Islands this summer, just weeks after announcing its return in Cyprus.

The operator said it had received “phenomenal” feedback and “sky-high demand” following the news that the service will return to more than 50 hotels in Paphos and Larnaca, Cyprus, from the end of April.

Now the offering will also be in 130-plus hotels across Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura in time for this summer.

Customers who book a hotel offering the service will be able to check-in their bags at the property in the morning on their day of departure, leaving them to spend the last day of their holiday bag-free.

Jet2holidays launched the service in 2016 but it was suspended amid the pandemic.

Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “This smart, secure service makes an enormous difference to the overall holiday experience, as by being luggage-free on the last day of their holiday, customers can enjoy their valuable holiday time, and breeze through the airport before their flight home.”
