Lata opens exhibitor registration for revamped 2024 Expo

Exhibitor registration has opened for the revamped Latin American Travel Association (Lata) Expo taking place in June 2024.

Under a new format, next year’s Expo will be a fully hosted residential event, held for the first time at the De Vere Beaumont Estate near Windsor.

The aim is to ensure that a cross-section of suppliers, influential buyers and media get opportunities to meet exhibitors from across the continent and discover new products, while strengthening existing relationships.

An integral part of the Expo schedule will include a conference programme and a dedicated sustainability summit, looking at how to future-proof the industry.

Day one will start with a new-look conference, moderated by travel expert and broadcaster Simon Calder and featuring keynote speakers to elevate the discussion around the future of tourism, as well as the challenges and successes.

Meetings will take place during the afternoons throughout the event, as well as a gala dinner, the return of Lata’s achievement awards and a dedicated Expo Festival.

The residential format will allow more time for more informal networking.

The venue’s rooms are equipped with desks and complimentary wi-fi throughout, meaning delegates can also catch-up on work outside of the meeting and conference agenda, and before the evening events.

Applications are open to all Lata members operating services within Latin America across all sectors, including excursion and transportation suppliers, hoteliers, expedition and cruise ships operating within Latin America, national and regional tourist boards and airlines with routes to and from or within Latin America.

Lata chair Martin Johnson said: “I am delighted with the initial response from exhibitors and buyers since we unveiled the new format for Lata Expo in 2024 and the registration process for our exhibitor members is now open.

“We will be announcing the keynote speakers for the two conference sessions in due course, but I am confident that their insight will enhance Expo, bringing industry learnings and best practices across a range of informative and relevant topics for both exhibitors and buyers.

“As well as maintaining the individual business meetings, I am looking forward to seeing what comes out of unexpected moments of networking throughout the three days.

“We are thrilled to see the return of the Lata Achievement Awards and look forward to celebrating the region with our members at this more intimate Expo, which will bring more value to the members.”
