The bosses of Jet2, easyJet holidays, Hays Travel and Travel Counsellors are among the first confirmed speakers for Travel Weekly’s Future of Travel Conference in September.
The event will once again take place in partnership with Google and will be hosted at the company’s offices in central London on Thursday, September 22.
The conference will feature a range of interviews and panel discussions with the industry’s leading executives in addition to insight from Google.
It will also mark the start of a partnership between Travel Weekly and ITV, the UK’s largest free-to-air commercial broadcaster, which will reveal exclusive research findings from its ITV Village viewer community into “the new rules of travel in terms of mainstream consumer behaviour”.
Confirmed speakers so far include Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays; Garry Wilson, chief executive of easyJet holidays; Dame Irene Hays, chair of Hays Travel; and Steve Byrne, chief executive of Travel Counsellors.
The conference will be supported by premium sponsors Accord Marketing, Hurtigruten, Inspiretec and Norwegian Cruise Line; and sponsors A-Rosa, Gibraltar Tourist Board, Greek National Tourist Office, Themis Advisory and Travelzoo.
Lucy Huxley, editor-in-chief of Travel Weekly Group, said: “Since its launch in 2019, the Future of Travel series in partnership with Google has rapidly gained a reputation for the biggest speakers and unrivalled insight and analysis.
“Our Future of Travel Spring Forum last month was a great precursor to our full-day conference in September, as we prepare to hear from a range of leaders from the industry and related sectors in addition to unveiling our new partnership with ITV.”
Jason Spencer, ITV business development director, said: “We are thrilled to be working in partnership with Travel Weekly not only on this research but also on a number of other exciting initiatives.
“There are a number of impactful ways we have worked with travel brands in recent years – from creative partnerships to helping them to test the power of TV.
“We are now looking forward to working together with Travel Weekly to support the return to growth right across the travel industry after the impact of the last two years on us all.”
