New travel classifications for Jersey come into effect today (May 28) with most of England and Wales classed as green.
However, there are 16 areas classed as red because of their level of risk, including regions in England seeing a surge in the Covid variant first identified in India, and parts of Scotland.
Scotland and Northern Ireland will be classified as amber.
To have a green travel history, travellers must have spent the previous 14 nights in a green area.

Hancock adds to confusion over traffic light travel rules
They will now be tested on day 0 and 8, instead of the previous 0, 5 and 10, and must isolate until their day 0 test comes back negative.
The Covid Status Certification Scheme – dubbed a vaccine passport – will also start, allowing ‘green light’ status for those who have been vaccinated at least two weeks before travelling.
This means they will not have to isolate at all if coming from a green or amber country. Passengers with a red travel history will be classified as red regardless of their vaccination status.
Tour operator and airline Jet2 has welcomed the latest easing of Covid travel restrictions to Jersey after the publication of updated requirements for trips to the island.
Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “The Government of Jersey should be commended for taking a leadership position and providing simple, clear travel advice for customers.
“As well as making this advice accessible and not a mass of confusion, the Government of Jersey has demonstrated a strong commitment to reopening travel properly, with an approach that is based on data around vaccination and infection rates.”
