Qatar Airways unveils three lounges at Doha airport

Qatar Airways has unveiled three lounges at Doha airport that can accommodate up to 420 passengers between them.

The Platinum, Gold and Silver lounges at Hamad International Airport (HIA) are for members of Privilege Club – Qatar Airways’ Loyalty programme – and oneworld alliance card holders.

The carrier called the Platinum, Gold and Silver lounges “state-of-the art” facilities where passengers can “rest, unwind and enjoy Qatar Airways’ amenity products”.

The Platinum Lounge South accommodates up to 140 passengers and features a quiet area, prayer room, bar, restaurant and showers.

A la carte or buffet dining is available along with free WiFi. Qatar Airways Platinum loyalty members and oneworld Emerald card holders will have access to the lounge.

The Gold Lounge South has capacity for up to 85 passengers and a range of services including family seating, a bar, dining area, buffet dining experience, showers and free WiFi. Qatar Airways Gold loyalty members and oneworld Sapphire card holders can enter the Gold Lounge South.

The Silver Lounge South, available to Qatar Airways Silver loyalty members, can cater for up to 195 passengers. It features meeting rooms, a family area, quiet area, buffet dining and baggage storage facilities.

Platinum and Gold Privilege Club members and oneworld Emerald and Sapphire members can invite one guest free of charge.

Group chief executive Akbar Al Baker said: “We look forward to welcoming passengers to experience our sophisticated, modern and spacious lounges.”
