Shortlists revealed for sustainability and workplace Globe Travel Awards

The shortlists for two new categories at the Globe Travel Awards have been published, with 15 companies in the running for the inaugural Sustainable Future and Employer of the Year Awards.

The categories were introduced for the 2023 awards to reflect the growing importance of sustainability and staff wellbeing as the travel industry rebuilds after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The shortlisted entries will be assessed by panels of expert judges, with best employer finalists also invited for interview. The winners will be announced at a spectacular ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House hotel on Thursday, January 12.

Lucy Huxley, editor-in-chief of Travel Weekly Group, said: “As always, we are incredibly grateful to the many travel agents who cast tens of thousands of votes in the supplier awards, and to the suppliers who put themselves forward for recognition in these two new categories.

“We look forward to revealing the winners of all our awards as the Globes return to their traditional January date after two years of disruption due to the pandemic and the emergence of the Omicron variant.”
