The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority is ramping up training and marketing activities with UK travel agents, following the relaxation of Covid entry rules for the Caribbean destination.
On Saturday (April 2), the island removed all pre-entry Covid-19 testing requirements for fully vaccinated travellers entering the country.
And from Tuesday (April 5), the need to register online registration and upload documents to show PCR test results and proof of vaccination has been removed.
Vaccinated travellers must provide a valid vaccination record as requested on check-in, boarding, and entry to Saint Lucia.
Unvaccinated travellers five years and older must have a valid negative standard Covid-19 PCR test five days before arrival.
Passengers arriving without tests or with the wrong type of test will be retested on arrival at their own cost and will be required to remain in quarantine until the test result is known.
Travellers are no longer required to pre-register online before arrival in Saint Lucia, but international travellers and returning nationals must complete a Health Screening Form before disembarkation for ease of processing on arrival.
The tourist board said fam trips for British agents will resume in June, and it is planning a programme of trade dinners across the UK to meet partners and share updates.
Furthermore, it is resuming monthly webinars on the last Tuesday of every month.
More than 90% of arriving visitors to Saint Lucia are fully vaccinated, along with more than 90% of hotel and villa staff across the island.
