Updated: Tui offers discounts of up to £300 in peaks campaign

Package holiday and cruise discounts of up to £300 lead Tui UK’s summer ‘Live Happy’ sale from December 26.

The operator is making “thousands” of free child places available while offering £60 per person deposits. Zero deposits apply to direct debit bookings made online.

The sale also offers single parents and solo travellers savings of £200 on bookings with one adult and a minimum spend of £800, or £250 on long-haul bookings with one adult and a minimum spend of £1,000.

Marella Cruises departing between  May 1, 2022 and April 30, 2023 are being discounted by £300 as well as Tui River Cruises’ sailings between March 28 and October 28, 2022.

Other offers apply to flights and accommodation-only bookings.

Commercial and business development director Richard Sofer said: “Many of our customers haven’t had a holiday for a while, so are booking more premium hotels, upgraded rooms or longer durations to make their long-awaited getaway extra special.

“This is why we’re offering discounts across our full range of holidays, affordable testing packages and the reassurance of our customer promise to help everyone have the break they deserve and can look forward to next summer.”

Sample family lead-in rates in the campaign start at £640 per person for a family on a  seven-night self-catering holiday to Alcudia from Bristol on August 3, including a £200 discount and one free child place.

Meanwhile, Thomas Cook is running a sale with up to 40% off hundreds of hotels, with deposits starting at £39 per person.
The online travel company is encouraging people to “look forward” to summer sun.
A spokesperson said: “Bookings have been ticking up since a few days before Christmas as new restrictions have been ruled out with the majority now booking their summer holidays.”
