Seabourn has appointed Princess Cruises’ vice president Tony Roberts as global vice president commercial operations as part of a management restructure.
Roberts, who will join Carnival Corporation’s luxury line from March 1, will lead revenue management; deployment; revenue forecasting; planning and analytics for the Seabourn brand globally.
He will be based in the UK but report to Seabourn president Josh Leibowitz.
Holland America Line and Seabourn UK and Ireland managing director Lynn Narraway will become totally dedicated to Seabourn with an expanded role to include responsibility for Europe, reporting to Roberts.
Nico Bleichrodt, Holland America Line’s vice president of international sales, will continue to report to Gus Antorcha, president of Holland America Line, and takes on added responsibility for HAL sales in the UK.
Seabourn’s current vice president product management and development, Sean Brennan, will be appointed head of commercial planning and strategy, reporting into Roberts.
Brennan will lead commercial planning; analytics; fuel optimisation; revenue forecasting and the relationship with the Holland America Group revenue shared services.
Leibowitz said: “I’ve been impressed with Tony’s leadership of Princess in the UK and Europe and I’m excited that he is joining the Seabourn family as we add our expedition ships to the fleet.
“Tony will bring a wealth of commercial and global sourcing experience to the Seabourn team.
“The UK is the second largest market for Seabourn and represents an important growth area. We are extremely excited to have Tony and Lynn together in the UK to continue to grow the Seabourn opportunity.”
Roberts, who oversees the UK and Europe in his role at fellow Carnival Corporation brand Princess, said: “This is an exciting opportunity to lead Seabourn’s global commercial team at such a vital time for the brand as we deliver extraordinary guest experiences in ocean and expedition travel.
“Under Lynn’s leadership, the Seabourn UK team continuously achieve outstanding results. I look forward to us building on this foundation as we deliver our future growth plans in the region.
“Whilst I will continue to be based in the UK, I will travel frequently to the US to work with and lead the commercial teams there.”
Narraway added: “I am really looking forward to my expanded role with Seabourn and to taking best practices from the UK to grow Seabourn sales in UK and Europe.
“I have known and worked with Tony for many years, and I look forward to partnering with him as we continue to grow with our trade partners.”
