Crystal has named former A-Rosa River Cruises head of sales Stephen Joyner as its new sales manager for the UK and Ireland.
Joyner spent four years in his role at A-Rosa, prior to which he held several positions within the travel industry, including roles at Royal Caribbean, The Travel Network Group and Collette Worldwide Holidays.
He has now returned to ocean cruising with his new role at Crystal, which was acquired by A&K Travel Group in 2022.

Lucia Rowe, managing director at A-Rosa UK & Ireland, praised Joyner’s contribution to the river cruise line, saying: “I can’t thank him enough for all his hard work and commitment”.
She confirmed the line would announce Joyner’s replacement “as soon as we are able” and recruitment is ongoing for the role of regional sales manager for the south.
“Stephen has achieved so much in the last four years,” she said. “He played an instrumental role in the creation of A-Rosa packages, our trade reservations arm in the UK that pulls together packages by air and rail, and has worked tirelessly with the trade to grow our brand presence, despite the challenges of Covid.
“I wish him every success as he takes on his next challenge back in the world of ocean cruising. I have no doubt he will do really well in his new role and they are very lucky to have him.”
