AE Expeditions adds new destinations to 2024-25 Antarctica programme

AE Expeditions has added new expeditions to its 2024-25 Antarctica programme.

The collection features 25 voyages ranging from nine to 23 days duration, visiting the Antarctic Peninsula, Falkland Islands, South Georgia and, new for this season, the Chilean Fjords.

The fjords are featured in two itineraries: a 14-day fly-cruise Antarctica Explorer and a 13-day Spirit of Antarctica expedition.

The latter itinerary will host a dedicated photography-themed voyage departing November 12, 2024, where passengers can learn from professional photographers on board. Prices start from £8,210.

Also new is the 20-day In Shackleton’s Footsteps itinerary, which departs Ushuaia in Argentina on March 16, 2025 and travels through the Weddell Sea to Elephant Island and on to South Georgia.

The lead-in price for the itinerary is £13,545.

All itineraries include overnight accommodation with breakfast prior to expeditions, onboard accommodation, all meals, beer and wine with dinner, shore excursions and Zodiac cruises, lectures, transfers and charter flights.

For passengers wanting to avoid sailing the Drake Passage twice, AE Expeditions is offering eight fly-sail or sail-fly combinations between January and February 2025.

The cruise line has launched the new brochure with an early bird offer, with savings of up to 25% available.

Hayley Peacock-Gower, chief marketing officer, said: “I am beyond thrilled to release our most comprehensive Antarctica programme for 24-25.

“The season is packed full of adventure and exploration with a variety of ways for travellers to truly explore Antarctica.

“We have pioneered purpose-driven exploration for more than 32 years and this season combines a unique mix of itineraries: returning favourites, new itineraries and a collection of special themed expeditions.

“We aim to open travellers up to exploration and push the boundaries of adventure while deepening connections to the natural world through our off-ship multiple daily excursions, our extensive range of activities and participative citizen science projects, all under the guidance of our highly acclaimed and experienced expedition team.”
