Aquilium Travel Group opens Spanish training centre for homeworkers

Agents working for upmarket homeworking specialist Aquilium Travel Group can now complete their induction overseas with the launch of a Spanish training centre.

The parent company of The Travel Directors and The Travel Managers is now giving homeworkers the option of completing their three-day induction course at a villa in Alicante, the Aquilium offices in Cheshire or from their own home.

Chief executive Gary Pridmore hopes the offering will help set the company apart from other agencies, as well as encourage homeworkers to get the most out of the course by giving them the flexibility to choose the environment best suited to them to complete it.

Homeworkers must pay for their own flights to Alicante, but will have their accommodation, food and entertainment paid for while they complete the course. Each course can cater for between one and eight people.

Speaking about the new Spanish training centre, Pridmore said: “Some people may need to get away from it all and this can give them the opportunity to forget everything at home and focus on their induction course and new business.

“Everyone has a different learning style and absorbs information differently, and we firmly believe environment can impact how an individual learns. We now offer our homeworkers a choice of three locations for their induction course.

“We know this flexible approach will ensure the individual homeworker will pick the option that is not only the most convenient for them, but it will ensure they are the most comfortable and focused meaning they will get the most out of the course.”
