Back In Time For Bed hosts family day on Anthem of the Seas

Around 60 travel industry mums and dads and their children enjoyed a family fun day on board Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas, hosted by Back in Time For Bed.

The parent support group organised its first event as a family day for travel agents and suppliers and their families to network and enjoy the ship’s facilities while it was docked in Southampton.

Families got the chance to enjoy lunch in the Windjammer Marketplace restaurant on board, try out the swimming pools and view the ship from more than 300 feet above sea level by taking a ride in its North Star observation capsule.

The family fun day aimed to facilitate informal networking and allow industry employees to experience the cruise ship with their children.

Anna Perrott, head of supplier relations at Panache Cruises, who set up the support group with Vicky Billing, head of partnerships at Riviera Travel, said: “It’s for networking with other travel parents to talk about their experiences and difficulties and an opportunity for children to see what mum or dad is selling.”

The group is hosting its next event at Newcastle Airport on September 22. The Balancing Work and Family summit will include industry speakers.
