Marks & Spencer, Boots and John Lewis are among agents’ favourite brands based on spending from Classic Collection’s booking reward scheme.
Argos, Sainsbury’s, New Look and River Island are also top spending options.
The reloadable Black Cards allow agents to spend whatever amount of money they have earned from their bookings.
Once the balance is spent, the card is topped up and reused when further bookings are made.
Cash rewards paid each month onto the card vary from £10 to £1,000 per booking commensurate with the total booking value.
More than half of card users were aged between 41 and 60, just 8% were between 21 and 30 years, and 2% of recorded users were aged between 71 and 80.
Average agent spend was up to £200 per cardholder with 76% of the total amount loaded onto all cards being spent within the first three months of receiving the rewards.
The run-up to Christmas, from October to December, was recorded as the busiest time for spend activity, along with the start of the summer in May.
Ten agents recently received cash injections into their Black Cards totalling £5,000 between them in the operator’s recent Summer of Love campaign.
Trade marketing and engagement manager Manisha Blair said: “We’re convinced that the spending flexibility that this scheme offers to our trade partners makes this the best agent incentive out there.
“Although our research suggests that agents like to spend with high street brands our Black Card can also be used just like a debit card, so agents could fill up their cars with fuel or save it to offset the cost of their winter fuel bills. And of course it’s never too early to get a head start on your Christmas shopping.”
