Classic Collection staff clear litter from Worthing seafront

Classic Collection has completed a beach clean and invested in new sustainable customer ticket wallets to mark World Ocean Day.

Seven members of the operator’s marketing team spent several hours clearing litter from Worthing beach, a five-minute walk from their head office, and plan to tackle more clean-ups in future.

Following feedback from agents, the operator has also launched customer documentation wallets made entirely from recycled plastic bottles to help prevent future plastic pollution.

Si Morris-Green, director of agency sales and marketing, said: “Those agents who have attended our Come to Classic events will know that we’re very fortunate in having offices that are a five-minute stroll from the beach.

“Worthing coastline has become the unofficial kitesurfing capital of the UK and we’re keen to keep the shoreline as clean as possible for everyone.

“Members of our marketing team went on a Worthing seafront beach clean to celebrate World Ocean Day, and in future we plan to hold departmental meetings on the beach with time set aside for litter picking.”

Morris-Green added the new ticket wallets were “part of a solution towards a future with fewer plastics in it”.
