Connections Luxury to host third Tokyo edition in 2025

Connections Luxury is to hold its third B2B travel event in Tokyo next January.

The third edition of Connections Luxury Tokyo will take place in Japan from January 26-29 and will bring together luxury buyer members of the Connections global community with premium travel providers from the city.

Connections Luxury is part of the portfolio of Jacobs Media, which also owns brands including Travel Weekly.

The event will be run in the unique ‘Connections Way’ with business meetings taking place while guests sample local cultural experiences showcasing Tokyo’s cuisine, traditions and luxury product.

It will be run in partnership with the Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Kazuomi Yamashita, tourist promotion department director for the TCVB, said: “We are delighted to partner with Connections Luxury for the return of this prestigious event. As the demand for luxury tourism continues to grow, this collaboration provides an exceptional platform to showcase Tokyo’s finest luxury offerings to a global audience.

“By bringing together top-tier suppliers and high-end buyers, we are confident that this event will further elevate Tokyo’s status as a premier destination for luxury travellers.”

Sam Blunsdon, head of commercial and tourism promotion at Connections Luxury, said: “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau this year. Connections Luxury Tokyo reflects the ever-growing supply and demand for luxury tourism to this vibrant city.”

He added: “Our goal is to increase the number of luxury travellers visiting the destination by showcasing Tokyo’s premium travel product and providing a platform where meaningful relationships and business opportunities can thrive.
