Designer Travel to host 80 delegates at Dubai conference

Designer Travel is to host around 80 delegates at its 2022 overseas conference in Dubai.

Staff and a number of key suppliers will attend the luxury travel agency and homeworking company’s conference at the Atlantis Hotel, The Palm, from September 9 to 13.

In December last year the company held a conference at Secrets Fuerteventura and pre-Covid the company held a conference annually.

The company will unveil its growth plans for the future as well as celebrate its past achievements at the event, which has been in the planning for four years.

Delegates, who include around 62 staff and 14 suppliers, will also get the chance to take part in a range of activities in Dubai.

The company plans to pack “a week’s worth of excitement into an amazing very long weekend” with excursions including a jeep safari, Bedouin BBQ and a chance to swim with dolphins in the Atlantis’ own Lost Chambers Aquarium.

Joint owners Karen Pocock and Amanda Matthews said in a statement: “We want this conference to be a celebration of our amazing and resilient business and all that our team have achieved this year.

“We have an amazing itinerary planned, which has been supported by a number of key partners, who are and have been on this journey with us.”

On the conference day, the company will look at its achievements and launch its plans for the future.

“We have some exciting news about the way we work, how we grow our business over the next few years and how Designer Travel will play its part in making sure the future looks bright for everyone involved in the business in what can only be described as some challenging times for the worldwide economy,” said the owners, who hosted five homeworkers on a fam trip to Spain last year so its agents could confidently reassure customers wanting to travel to amber destinations.
