Dnata Travel Group B2B has recruited David Steven as trade partnership manager for the northeast and Yorkshire.
He will join on March 6 to work on the Gold Medal, Cruise Plus, Pure Luxury and Incredible Journeys brands, reporting to head of trade support, Kym Coulbeck.
Steven has worked for LGBTQ+ specialist tour operator Chillimix since October 2022, building relationships with the travel trade and major consortia.
Before Chillmix, he spent 15 years with Emirates Airways, first as senior sales agent at Newcastle airport, then as account manager, working with travel agents and travel management companies in the northeast, Yorkshire and Scotland.
Karen Fletcher, dnata Travel Group B2B trade partnership director, said: “It’s exciting to be adding another talented and well-respected individual like David to our trade partnerships team.
“His knowledge of the industry in general, and of the travel trade in the northeast in particular, can only be of huge benefit to our valued partners in that part of the world and we’re looking forward to him building further on the relationships we have – and the work we do – with them.”
Steven added: “I’m excited to start working in a different part of the Emirates family with the dnata Travel group B2B team, and put my knowledge of the northeast travel trade to good use as they further enhance their relationships with agents across the region.
“Between them, the Gold Medal, Pure Luxury, Cruise Plus and Incredible Journeys brands offer the widest range of long haul trade-only product out there, and across the group there’s over 45 years of history of providing award-winning support, advice, service and guidance to agents.”
