Fred Holidays unveils new destination format for brochures

Fred Holidays has launched a new brochure format which focuses on destinations, starting with Austria and Germany.

Its 2023 Tailor-Made Austria and Germany Holidays brochure features a selection of more than 20 of its most popular land, rail and river cruise holidays “aimed at maximising customers’ awareness of the holiday types available within their chosen destination”.

Ready-made itineraries are offered but these can be tailor-made to fit clients’ preferred dates and holiday requirements.

Simon Chambers, Fred Holidays general manager, said: “As we move into 2023, we have amended our brochure distribution to focus on destination pieces starting with Austria and Germany.

“This new format allows us to provide our customers with even more inspirational ideas for how to explore and make the most of a destination.

“Whether it’s a Five-Star Amadeus River Cruise or one of our incredibly popular rail or land packages, we are now providing a greater choice of destinations, experiences and ways to travel than ever before.

“While all our itineraries are bookable as they are, they can also be customised to specific requirements, so whether you prefer three, four-or five-star accommodation, additional nights, rail transport, regional flights or even multi-country holidays, simply let us know and we will do the rest.”

The 11-night Austrian Winter Wonderland no-fly holiday features rail from the UK to Zurich, plus Innsbruck, Salzburg and Cologne. It costs from £1,899.

The six-night Jewels of Bavaria & Austria holiday offers return flights from the UK, car hire, accommodation in Munich, Fussen, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Berchtesgaden and Salzburg. Prices are from £1,299.

The Classical Danube river cruise visits Hungary, Slovakia, Austria and Germany. The seven-night cruise-only prices are from £1,615; fly-cruise prices from £2,095; and rail inclusive prices from £2,595.

• Meanwhile, the operator has introduced new Great Lakes cruise-and-stay packages featuring a seven-night cruise on Ponant’s luxury ship, the 184-guest Le Bellot, along with stays in Milwaukee, Chicago, Toronto and New York.
