The Inspire Group has appointed former Travel Network Group chief operating officer Lisa Henning as managing director of Inspire Europe Limited.
Henning will join the Cheshire-based tour operator and travel agency, which specialises in travel rewards and loyalty, on April 12.
She will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the £25 million turnover business and supporting the board with its “ambitious development strategy”.
Group chief executive Peter Pantelides said: “We have taken the time over the past year to put in place a robust plan of expansion and our strategy is to grow the business significantly over the next five years.
“We believe that the travel sector will bounce back quickly from Covid-19 and we are keen to take advantage of what the post-pandemic market will offer.”
He added: “With her 20-plus years of experience in travel and her strong leadership and commercial skills, Lisa will play an integral role in the growth of the business. Her proven track record of growing businesses quickly will be particularly useful as we put in place our plans to expand our current offering, including our homeworking division.”
Henning said: “I am really excited to be joining Inspire at a time when it has a clear strategy for growth. I am looking forward to a new challenge with a team that has managed its business admirably over the last year, and which has big plans to build on its strong foundations for the future.”
Henning said one of her early priorities would be to talk with Inspire’s current commercial partners “to identify areas of mutual benefit going forward”, as well as bringing in new partners.
“I look forward to building on the plans for homeworking; there are a great deal of excellent homeworkers in the market and I am keen to attract as much talent in this area to Inspire as possible,” she added.
Inspire Travel was established in 2001. Employing a team of 55 full time staff, it specialises in sales promotion, employee benefits and reward schemes.
