National Holidays adds more than 40 trips for 2023

National Holidays has brought out its Britain & Europe 2023 preview brochure featuring more than 40 new trips.

The operator is offering 27 new breaks in the UK and 16 new trips in Europe.

The UK range now provides seaside destinations, rail journeys and tribute acts tours while capacity for Ireland has been increased following its popularity this year.

In Europe, National Holidays has introduced longer stays, with new nine-day tours, and boosted the number of four-day breaks, while extra all-inclusive itineraries have been added.

Eight new coach breaks have been added to the Britain and Ireland collection, including a five-day Eastbourne, 1066 Country & Beachy Head break, from £279, and a four-day The Lake District & Lakeland Railway, from £229, including a heritage train ride on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway. A new two-day Tribute Gold Live coach break in Liverpool, from £119, offers trips to see established tribute acts.

Six new tours have been added in Ireland, including a six-day Kilkenny, Waterford and the Wicklow Mountains break, from £599, including a heritage train ride on the Waterford Suir Valley railway and a trip to the Waterford Crystal factory.

In Europe there are 10 new nine-day tours, including Imperial Cities – Prague, Vienna and Budapest, which also offers a visit to Nuremburg. Coach departures on selected dates in June and October cost from £899.

National Holidays has also added more four-day breaks for clients seeking shorter trips in Europe, such as the Normandy, the British D-Day Memorial & Rouen coach trip, from £349.

The operator has responded to demand for more breaks which include extras as the cost of living rises.  New ‘inclusive’ tours feature extras in the price, such as wine with dinner, free bars at certain times and more excursions.

One example is the nine-day Italian Riviera, Monte Carlo and Nice Inclusive, from £829, which has a free bar between 7pm and 10pm, excursions to Imperia, Monaco, Monte Carlo and Nice, wine and water with dinner, and evening entertainment on one night.

In total, 12 versions of the brochure have been produced, each one focusing on key products available from the operator’s main departure regions in the northeast and northwest of England, Yorkshire and the Midlands.

Claire Dutton, trade sales manager, said the preview brochure aimed to give agents a way to capture early sales for 2023.

She added: “We’ve moved the order around and put the longer duration tours at the front of the brochure as experience shows these tend to book a little further out, so we wanted to ensure they have the most prominence.

“We have all the most popular breaks on sale plus a host of new options available so agents in the key sales regions have plenty to promote.”
