NCL promotes Gary Anslow amid UK and Ireland sales team expansion

Gary Anslow has been promoted to regional vice-president and head of UK and Ireland at Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) amid a series of role changes.

The line said it is “doubling down on its commitment to the UK and Ireland”, which is one of the organisation’s “key” international source markets.

Anslow, who joined the company as senior sales director in 2021, has been tasked with expanding NCL’s presence in the UK market as well as developing support for frontline agents in the region.

Meanwhile, Kirsty Webb, Chantelle White and Laura Croft have all received promotions.

Webb has taken up the role of senior business development manager for the cruise specialist channel, White has become a business development manager within the retail, homework and consortia channel, and Croft has been promoted to the newly-created position of UK and Ireland travel partner training manager.

To support the expansion, NCL will add two new field-based account executives to the sales team to enable “further development of brand knowledge and awareness across the UK”, it said.

Anslow said: “We now have 20 ships on sale, nine of which will be sailing in Europe this summer.

“With four more new Prima Plus-class ships arriving over the course of the next four years, we have a level of growth that represents a huge opportunity for us and for our agent partners.

“The trade has always been critical to our success and we are excited to be expanding and developing our trade sales team to ensure we continue to develop our trade partner support.”

Jason Krimmel, chief international sales and marketing officer, added: “The UK and Ireland is our largest source market outside of North America.

“Over the last 12 months, I’ve spent time with many of our key travel agent partners from the region and it remains clear that this market continues to be one with tremendous growth opportunity.”
