Newmarket Holidays adds ‘wish list’ locations to North America tours

Newmarket Holidays has added “wish list” locations to three of its most popular US and Canada tours for 2024.

Richard Harrington, long-haul destination manager at the escorted tour specialist, said: “Our North American escorted tours are a popular part of our portfolio, so the addition of new wish-list locations, based on feedback from our customers, makes them even more appealing.

“Early signs are that the US is going to be very popular in 2023 and 2024, and Canada especially has got off to a strong start in the peaks.

“We look forward to helping agents make the most of these fantastic tours.”

The new version of America’s Golden West & Las Vegas will spend more time following the classic Route 66, while the Hollywood, Vegas and the Grand Canyon tour has been expanded to include San Diego, the old desert town of Scottsdale, and Sedona, famous for its red rock scenery (pictured).

Newmarket Holidays has also added an optional jeep safari along roads built by Wild West pioneers, to discover the plants and animals of Arizona’s high desert.

The Niagara Falls to the Rockies tour has been extended by a day for extra sightseeing in Jasper National Park, and an overnight stop in Ottawa has also been included.

• Newmarket Holidays has also launched a new tour to Tuscany, Rome and the Amalfi Coast, bringing its Italian range up to 16.

The 11-day group tour explores Rome, Pompeii, Arezzo and Florence, and includes wine tasting at the hilltop town of Montalcino.

Richard Forde, head of trade sales, said: “Italy has been a top selling destination for us for many years and combining several classic areas in one tour is a great way for customers who love that region to visit all their favourite spots in one trip, or for first timers to tick the region off their wish list.

“This combination of several cities and landmarks in a single tour also gives agents the opportunity to offer great value for their customers.”
