Newmarket Holidays aims to build its online presence and improve service to the trade by bringing in a new head of e-commerce.
Dale Bray joins the escorted tours specialist following a career including six years in the travel industry, most recently with The Thinking Traveller, plus roles at Shell Energy and clothing brand Charles Tyrwhitt.
The operator claimed the appointment would benefit agents as Bray’s responsibilities include website conversion optimisation and data analysis to “effectively drive sales, enhance the customer experience and build the online presence of Newmarket Holidays”.
Chief commercial officer David Sharman said: “It’s fantastic to have Dale on board and he brings a wealth of experience to the role.
“His appointment will significantly benefit travel agents by ensuring that our website is efficiently managed and user-friendly, and the expertise he brings to measuring and analysing digital performance will provide valuable insights that will help us improve services and tailor offerings to better meet agents’ needs.
“Dale has already dived straight into our current projects and we’re excited to see the impact he will make and how he shapes this role.
He added: “We have seen incredible growth in trade sales over the past 12 months and having a comprehensive website that displays a large range of tours in an impactful, inspiring and easy-to-follow way is a big part of that.
“Dale’s expertise will help us better understand how agents are using the site, ensuring that we continue to develop our digital offering in a way that supports our trade partners with easy access to everything they need to maximise sales to their customers.”
Bray said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Newmarket Holidays at such a pivotal time.
“The company is enjoying major growth and its digital presence is a key part of this.
“There are lots of exciting projects in the works and I’m excited to help steer them in the right direction.”
