Queen Anne in ‘final push’ to completion, says Cunard

Queen Anne is in its “final push” to completion as it prepares to enter service in May, according to Cunard’s vice-president of sales and marketing Angus Struthers.

The ship will depart on its maiden voyage on May 3, 2024, which will be the first time Cunard has had a four ship fleet since 1999.

Speaking to Travel Weekly during a shipyard visit in Venice, Struthers emphasised the “unique” offerings of the ship, saying it is “unlike other Cunard queens, but still has that timeless Cunard feel”.

He said the 3,000-passenger ship is on track to be delivered on schedule, six years after its conception in 2017.

”I remember drawing flat plans of Queen Anne years ago and spending hours and hours trying to work out how the ship will flow so to be here and actually see it is extremely exciting,” he added.

“Sales of Queen Anne are exceeding all our expectations and sales on all our other ships continue to reach their targets which is fantastic.”
