Riviera Travel has unveiled its 2023 European river cruise programme, with launch pricing matching 2022 sailings.
The company’s earliest-ever river cruise launch features 299 cruises across 14 itineraries, including six sailings exclusively for solo travellers. The programme runs from March to November.
Destinations covered include France, Germany, Portugal, Hungary and the Netherlands, with prices including return flights or Eurostar on select itineraries, full board and scheduled visits and tours.
Options include an eight-day Douro, Porto and Salamanca itinerary, priced from £1,569 and featuring eight guided tours and visits, dinner at a traditional Portuguese quinta and visits to Castelo Rodrigo, Mateus Palace Gardens and Lamego.
Guests in deluxe and superior suites and all upper-deck cabins can take advantage of the Riviera Plus package, introduced this year and including a smart handset allowing unlimited calls, texts and internet usage, L’Occitane en Provence toiletries, a bottle of Prosecco on arrival and an aperitif each evening.
An optional on-board drinks package offering a selection of drinks during lunch and dinner starts from £59 for a five-day sailing.
Katja Hildebrandt, head of cruise, said: “We’re pleased to be able to offer an extensive range of river cruises along Europe’s most incredible waterways during 2023. We’ve launched our European programme earlier than ever before to help meet demand for these stunning sailings.”
She added: “We personally select every aspect of our river cruises, and ensure our itineraries are thoughtfully balanced, meaning they’re perfect for anyone looking to explore at a relaxing pace.”
