Economic expert and KPMG Germany regional board member Kai Andrejewski is joining car rental firm Sixt as chief financial officer.
He joins on June 1 as the company moves towards the digitalisation of its finance department.
Vehicle purchasing is being brought into the department as part of the changes.
Andrejewski succeeds Jorg Bremer, who is leaving Sixt “to pursue new professional challenges”.
Company chairman Erich Sixt said: “The historically exponential growth through our digitalisation and internationalisation strategy requires in equal measure a further transformation and digitalisation of our finance department.
“In doing so, we will continue to rely on our successful solid and conservative finance strategy and are pleased that we have been able to attract Kai Andrejewski to join our management board team as an expert who brings a high level of integrity and team spirit.
“He shares our clear vision of international, digital and sustainable mobility. Mobility that makes life easier for people and brings them together.”
Andrejewski added: “As chief financial officer, I will not only focus on the figures, but also on the values behind them. Inspiring the financial market with the idea of sustainable and individual mobility as Sixt creates it is a fantastic opportunity and challenge.”
